I am such a bad girl, everytime I get distracted by something I completely neglect this blog.  But I have been so busy sewing.  I was given a subscription to Burda pattern magazine for my birthday and I am in sewing heaven - new inspiration plops through my door every month complete with patterns that just need tracing off!!.  I have so far made three new dresses, a seventies style wrap dress, an eighties style batwing jersey dress and a shirt dress.  I also made a skirt and top for my mum a skirt (skirt pattern not burda) and a skirt and top for me.  Then I made a cropped trousers and jacket suit (jacket not burda pattern) and a gathered front jersey tunic, which is rather body hugging but with the gathered front is actually very flattering.  I started a new trouser suit for work today out of sand cord with black bias bound edges.  Unfortunately disaster has happened and my sewing machine has had enough and refuses to work.  This could not have happened at a worse time I am going out next Sunday and really wanted to wear the suit and the jacket is no where near finished.  Also I have promised to alter some trousers for a work colleague and next week I'm decorating the kids bedrooms and currently have about 11 meters of various fabric in my conservatory waiting to be turned into curtains and other soft furnishings.  What is a girl supposed to do except order a new sewing machine wich will hopefully be delivered on Tuesday ready to complete all these projects....
